Spirituality and religion are not the same. Yet both rely on a fundamental belief in a connection with some sort of higher being. Something greater than ourselves. Some sort of God Source.
My own belief is that God is within us, and that we are all connected — whether in the physical realm or on the Other Side. Therefore, I also strongly believe that you cannot be in full service as a medium if you don’t have a connection to a God Source.
In my experience, every true medium has an authentic, deep connection with God. I have yet to find an exception.
In mediumship, the concept of God is one we describe as uplifting, supportive and non-judgmental. It provides the type of unconditional love we all yearn for and lends support for the greater good.
Mediums are often guided by their own spiritual connection. To be clear, that doesn’t mean that mediums don’t go to church. Many do!
Some go to Catholic churches, while others go to Protestant, Lutheran, Buddhist or Spiritual churches. It’s all about connection. Going to church is just one of the ways that mediums may connect with community. Many mediums, including me, also pray regularly on their own.
Whatever a medium’s specific beliefs or practices may be, I think it’s fair to say that we deeply honor that Source which is greater than ourselves.
